Our very own EverythingOShauN and fellow Canadian Kayo (from Nova Scotia) are Wylin’ on their premier partnership: a trap track jointly produced by equally important Toronto producers Xpress aka DJXP and 5PiECE. The two self-written artists exchange motivational verses and mellifluous hooks reflecting on their come-up, their current, and their competition – typical but loved comfort food of the genre – all set upon an unmistakably up-north mellow backdrop decorated with a haunting piano melody to keep you focused, driven, and ready to succeed against all odds at the gym, the office, and at this thing we call life.

Director Marcus Letts lets us have quite a theatric experience with the movie of a music video for Worldwide. Actually, with the addition of a UFO, it may be more apt to call it Universe-wide… or Galaxy-wide? Who knows.

A happy new year indeed as our favorite ode from EverythingOShauN gets an official music video, once again shot by Xpress aka DJXP (who also produced the song) on his iPhone 12 Pro Max, all in one shot. His smooth direction slides us into an aesthetically-pleasing room groomed with exotic plants and of course, two Queens, sipping and in adoration.

In the midst of May 2020 – the heat of a pandemic – EverythingOShauN and Xpress aka DJXP gifted to us a song of tropical-fusion: Sweet, which was well received by thousands praying for better times. The sad were uplifted, the bored were alleviated, and the dancers appreciated it.
Now, it seems like Sweet was merely a transition into even brighter times: a sunny, all-out Afro-beat offering entitled “Odinma“. The Igbo word itself is a positive approximation of “I’m good”, which is surely a mantra we can all use. In fact, we will use, because the good feels are ever-infectious on this one. The half-Nigerian and wholly-creative brothers are pleasantly surprising us with every evolution, and – Maybe It’s Nothing, Maybe It’s Everything – we will find out.
